Breaking: Disney Wish Is Headed to New York in Fall 2027

Disney Cruise Line has announced Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, including seven special Disney Wish cruises from New York.

Disney Cruise Line just released its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, and the headline is a big one: the Disney Wish is returning to New York City.

After completing its inaugural European season, the Disney Wish will arrive in New York in late September 2027 for seven special voyages ranging from four to seven nights. Five will sail to Bermuda, while the New York season will also include the return of Disney cruises to New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast.

Early booking begins for select Castaway Club members on August 31, 2026. General booking opens September 8, 2026.

What Disney Announced for New York

The Disney Wish will sail four- to seven-night itineraries from New York City. The newly announced season includes:

  • Five Bermuda voyages, with three providing an additional day to enjoy the destination
  • A seasonal sailing experience along the coast of New England and Atlantic Canada
  • The Disney Wish’s combination of family entertainment, themed dining, youth spaces and adults-only experiences

New York is especially interesting because it gives many Northeast families a chance to begin a Disney cruise without flying to Florida. Bermuda also offers a different kind of Disney Cruise Line vacation—one that combines meaningful time aboard the ship with pink-sand beaches, British-influenced culture and a destination that rewards a longer visit.

More Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 Highlights

The New York news leads the announcement, but it is not the only itinerary worth watching.

  • San Juan: The Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy will offer additional five- to seven-night Southern and Eastern Caribbean sailings.
  • Panama Canal: The Disney Magic will operate two 14-night repositioning cruises, with maiden calls at Fuerte Amador on the eastbound voyage and Colón on the westbound voyage.
  • Port Canaveral: The Disney Destiny will home port there for the first time in Fall 2027, sailing three- to seven-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean itineraries.
  • Fort Lauderdale: The Disney Fantasy will sail to Bermuda from Fort Lauderdale for the first time on an eight-night voyage that also visits Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
  • San Diego: The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will begin the season with three- to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises.
  • Galveston: The Disney Magic will return to Texas, including select seven-night Bahamian voyages that visit both of Disney’s island destinations.
  • Singapore: The Disney Adventure will continue three- and four-night sailings from September through December 2027.

Select ships will also offer Halloween on the High Seas cruises beginning in September 2027 and Very Merrytime cruises in November and December 2027.

Which Sailings Deserve an Early Look?

For me, the seven Disney Wish voyages from New York are the immediate standouts. A short season, a newer ship and Bermuda or northeastern fall destinations create a combination we do not see every year.

The Panama Canal cruises also deserve attention from travelers who enjoy longer voyages and more time aboard the ship. From the South, the Galveston itineraries that include both Disney island destinations could be particularly appealing, while the Disney Fantasy’s first Bermuda voyage from Fort Lauderdale offers an unusual eight-night option.

The right sailing is not automatically the rarest one. It is the one that fits your family’s schedule, travel style and budget. Before booking opens, I recommend identifying:

  • Your acceptable travel dates
  • Your preferred departure port
  • The longest cruise your family can comfortably take
  • Your first and second stateroom-category choices
  • Whether the ship, destination or seasonal theme is the priority

That preparation makes the booking decision much easier once exact sailings and availability are in front of you.

When Can You Book?

Early bookings open for select Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members beginning August 31, 2026. General bookings open September 8, 2026.

If one of these cruises is already speaking to you, we can discuss the travelers, dates and stateroom preferences now so you are ready for the appropriate booking window.
